Electrical Senior Site Engineer

About the role

Sabbour Consulting is seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Site Engineer to lead the execution and quality control of electrical works on medium‑to‑large scale projects. The role involves hands‑on supervision, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with design, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all on‑site electrical work, including power, lighting, low‑current systems, and MV/LV installations.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and architectural disciplines to resolve design and execution conflicts.
• Review contractors’ shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
• Monitor installation progress, perform inspections, and verify adherence to project quality standards.
• Identify site issues, propose technical solutions, and escalate critical problems when necessary.
• Maintain documentation, site logs, and daily/weekly progress and quality reports.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of all electrical systems before handover.
• Participate in technical and progress meetings with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
• Review and validate as‑built drawings and close‑out documentation submitted by contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical site supervision on large‑scale residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, site safety, and testing/commissioning protocols.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
• Fire alarm, data & telecom, lighting control, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Familiarity with NEC, IEC, NFPA, and other national/international codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is a plus.
