Fundraising & Communication Officer

About the role

The Fundraising & Communication Officer will join Ishraaq Foundation in Cairo to lead the creation and distribution of press releases, develop strategic communication plans, and manage media relations. This role supports the foundation’s mission to empower children, youth, and women across Egypt by enhancing visibility and attracting resources.

Key responsibilities

• Write, edit, and disseminate compelling press releases and communication materials.
• Design and implement strategic communication plans aligned with fundraising objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate communication activities to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Collaborate with program teams to highlight impact stories and success metrics.
• Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on communication performance.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Experience in press release writing, media relations, and strategic communications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Previous fundraising experience is a plus.
