Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

York Towers is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain its cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will work closely with the DevOps/Infrastructure Lead and the broader infrastructure team to ensure the Laravel platform and TypeScript microservices run reliably, securely, and at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and maintain AWS resources such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Administer Linux servers, handling services, networking, permissions, and performance tuning.
• Assist with CI/CD pipeline creation, testing, and deployments for staging and production environments.
• Monitor system health, set up alerts, and respond to infrastructure incidents.
• Support containerized workloads and basic orchestration tasks.
• Document infrastructure, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with backend and support teams to troubleshoot environment‑related issues.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Linux administration and command‑line usage.
• Hands‑on experience with core AWS services.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control using Git/GitHub.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash or Python.
• Eagerness to learn, a troubleshooting mindset, and attention to detail.
