Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Business Informatics

About the role

The German University in Cairo invites applications for academic positions at the ranks of Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor, effective September 2026. The appointments are in the Business Informatics or Information Systems area and involve teaching, research and curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business Informatics/Information Systems.
• Supervise bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral theses.
• Conduct internationally recognised research in enterprise systems, business analytics, data mining, e‑government or business process management.
• Develop innovative curricula and teaching materials.
• Secure and manage externally funded research projects.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics or a closely related discipline.
• Strong record of internationally recognised research in the listed domains.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and student supervision.
• Ideally, relevant industry experience and ability to attract research funding.
