Local Legal Training Consultant – Cyber‑investigations & Cybercrime

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks a local legal training consultant with deep expertise in cyber‑investigations and cybercrime. The consultant will design, deliver, and document a series of gender‑sensitive trainings, roundtables, and workshops for officials across the MENA region, focusing on violence against women and girls (VAW&G) and online sexual exploitation.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and conduct a two‑day roundtable for MENA cybercrime experts, produce a minimum 5‑page summary report approved by UNODC.
• Deliver two three‑day cyber‑investigative trainings for ACA officers, including agenda, materials, and a 4‑page report per session.
• Lead a three‑day multi‑sectoral workshop on VAW&G, OCSE, and CSAM, and submit a gender‑sensitive 3‑page summary.
• Coordinate two sets of two‑day mock trials on online violence, providing scripts and a four‑page reflection report.
• Provide a two‑day OSINT investigation training for police officers handling VAW&G cases, with materials and a 4‑page report.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops for criminal‑justice practitioners and roundtables for Egyptian Parliament officials and Cassation Court judges, each with a 4‑page recommendations report.

Required profile

• Proven experience in legal training, cyber‑investigations, and cybercrime policy.
• Demonstrated ability to apply gender‑sensitive approaches, especially concerning risks to girls.
• Familiarity with UNODC standards and reporting requirements.
• Strong communication skills for multi‑ministerial and multi‑sectoral audiences.
