Math Teacher – Year 4 & 5

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Math Teacher for Year 4 and Year 5 at Maadi Narmer School in Cairo. The successful candidate will deliver engaging mathematics lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and support a diverse range of learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver mathematics lessons for Year 4 and Year 5.
• Develop and mark assessments, classwork and homework.
• Explain mathematical concepts clearly and adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate regularly with families and collaborate with colleagues.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.

Required profile

• Recognized teaching credential or status as a qualified teacher, preferably with international curriculum experience.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and proven instructional ability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related field (post‑graduate qualifications a plus).
• Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development for upper‑primary or middle‑school levels.
• Effective classroom management skills and ability to support diverse learners.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
