Project Assistant (Operations) – Aswan

About the role

The Project Assistant will support the smooth implementation of project activities in Aswan, working closely with the Project Manager and various supportive departments. This role ensures that operational processes, procurement, and financial tasks are carried out efficiently and in line with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of project events, including scheduling, logistics, and material preparation.
• Assist in developing project plans, covering programmatic and procurement activities as defined in the proposal.
• Prepare payments, advances, and settlements, and maintain accurate expense tracking and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Support the Project Lead in maintaining offline trackers and financial documentation.
• Process procurement requests, follow up on goods delivery, and ensure proper documentation.
• Organise stakeholder meetings and maintain updated financial activity trackers.
• Maintain a coherent filing system for both hard‑copy and electronic project documents.
• Participate in data collection and entry when required.
• Ensure compliance with Save the Children policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Child Safeguarding Level 3 – regular contact with children or young people.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to work under the guidance of a Project Manager and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
