About the role
The PTW Engineer is responsible for managing the Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) process to ensure safe and efficient railway operations. This role coordinates permit approvals, assesses risks, and works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and HSE teams to maintain high safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Attend weekly coordination meetings to organize, prioritize, and schedule PTW requests.
- Review and evaluate PTW submissions for accuracy, compliance, and operational feasibility.
- Manage Persons in Charge (PICs) for internal and external teams and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor site activities to confirm adherence to PTW regulations.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date database of PTW records for audits and compliance checks.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on PTW activities, approvals, and compliance status.
- Conduct risk assessments, on‑site inspections, and support safety audits.
- Provide guidance and training on PTW procedures and support emergency response planning.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Telecom engineering or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in railway safety or permit‑to‑work systems (if any).
- Strong understanding of railway safety regulations and operational procedures.
