Quality & Agriculture Inspector (GAP, HACCP, ISO) – Egypt

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quality & Agriculture Inspector to carry out on‑site inspections of fresh crops and processed food, collect representative samples and ensure they are safely delivered to our laboratory for testing. The role supports SGS’s commitment to food safety, quality and sustainability across Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect agricultural and food products (fresh crops, processed foods) on‑site.
• Collect, package, label and transport samples according to SOPs and sampling plans.
• Perform visual quality checks and basic on‑site measurements.
• Record findings and prepare clear inspection and sample submission reports.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure timely testing.
• Maintain compliance with safety, hygiene and regulatory standards during handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related sciences.
• 3‑5 years of experience in goods inspection, sampling or quality control of agricultural/food products.
• Good command of English; fluency in the local language is a plus.
• Strong report‑writing and record‑keeping abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of sampling methods and basic food safety/hygiene practices.
• Familiarity with food safety standards such as GAP, HACCP and ISO (desired).
