Quality Manager – Solar PV & BESS Projects

About the role

CSI Global is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System for its Zambia Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) program. Reporting to the Engineering Manager/Project Director, you will ensure that all project activities meet contractual quality obligations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and overall QMS framework.
• Define quality procedures, inspection protocols, and documentation standards for off‑site and on‑site teams.
• Manage two on‑site QA/QC Inspectors, reviewing inspection and NCR reports.
• Maintain the master Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) matrix for all disciplines.
• Conduct quality audits of EPC contractor QMS and verify compliance.
• Review and approve material test reports, equipment certificates, and quality records.
• Oversee the NCR database, ensuring corrective actions are verified and closed.
• Prepare quality performance reports, including NCR trends and audit findings.
• Develop and manage the project punch‑list procedure and coordinate client quality reporting.
• Lead quality handover and project close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of quality management experience in construction or power projects.
• At least 4 years as Quality Manager on utility‑scale solar or energy projects.
• Certified Lead Auditor ISO 9001 (required).
• Strong organizational, leadership, and reporting abilities.
