Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will lead individual audit projects within the overall internal audit plan, ensuring thorough risk assessment, compliance, and follow‑up on audit findings. This role involves preparing audit programs, workpapers, and reports, as well as mentoring junior auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on full‑cycle internal audit assignments in line with International Professional Practices Framework standards.
• Update the internal audit charter, manual, and annual audit plan under the guidance of the audit manager.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify control gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Perform announced and unannounced physical count visits to provide reasonable assurance.
• Review and supervise the work of junior auditors, providing guidance and problem‑solving support.
• Facilitate the implementation of agreed‑upon recommendations and monitor their progress.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in private industry with solid knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control.
• Ability to prepare audit programs, workpapers, and sampling techniques.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in risk assessment and control evaluation.
• Effective communication skills for reporting findings and training junior staff.
