Senior Kitchen and Laundry Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Kitchen and Laundry Technician to join our hotel’s engineering team in Cairo. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all kitchen and laundry equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually and perform corrective actions.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for all equipment.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and communicate daily activities to other shifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and HVAC diagrams.
• Perform complex repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air‑conditioning, refrigeration, and pool‑heater systems.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Utilize engineering software for preventive maintenance, energy management, and MEP troubleshooting.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or large‑facility maintenance, preferably in a senior role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent knowledge of local and national safety codes and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, customers, and team members.
