Senior Network Security Engineer

About the role

CCDS is seeking a seasoned Senior Network Security Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable enterprise networks. You will lead the architecture of switching, routing, wireless, firewall, NAC, WAF, email security, and SIEM solutions while ensuring robust threat detection and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Design Layer 2/3 networks with VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP and high‑availability protocols.
• Develop secure wireless access (802.1X, WPA2/3) and manage guest/BYOD onboarding via NAC.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, next‑generation security appliances, and Web Application Firewalls.
• Implement and tune SIEM platforms for log collection, threat detection, alerting, and dashboard creation.
• Monitor security telemetry, investigate network security incidents, and coordinate remediation actions.
• Document architectures, change management records, and produce configuration guides.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of enterprise network security experience.
• Proven troubleshooting using packet captures and network flow analysis.
• Strong documentation and change‑management practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Switching and routing (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, VRRP, HSRP)
• Wireless controllers and access points, WPA2/3, 802.1X authentication
• Network Access Control (NAC), MAB authentication, guest/BYOD onboarding
• Firewalls – policy creation, NAT, SSL/IPsec VPN, logging
• Management platforms such as Panorama or FortiManager (preferred)
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) deployment and management
• Email security gateways and anti‑phishing controls
• SIEM integration, log collection, detection tuning, alerting, dashboard creation
• Packet capture analysis and network flow analysis
