Track Technician

About the role

The Track Technician is responsible for executing scheduled track maintenance tasks and leading a team of maintainers to ensure safe and efficient daily railway operations. This role works closely with Track Maintenance Engineers to coordinate technical interventions while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned track maintenance activities in line with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist with site surveys and inspections to support planning and execution of maintenance work.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe handling of tools, equipment, and machinery required for track work.
• Prepare accurate statistical reports and documentation of daily activities for supervisors.
• Attend daily briefings, receive task assignments, and communicate safety instructions to the team.
• Promote a positive safety culture and comply with the organization’s safety, security, and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Intermediate education or higher with technical knowledge of railway tracks and turnouts.
• 3‑5 years of experience in railway track maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to understand and apply track safety rules for oneself and the team.
• Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to changing operational demands.
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to follow instructions from senior staff.
