Waste Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Waste Consultant to support the delivery of waste management consultancy projects across our global practice. The role involves developing waste strategies, conducting audits, and assisting with permitting and infrastructure planning for buildings, master plans and community‑scale developments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of waste management strategies for various project scales.
• Collect, analyse and interpret waste generation and operations data.
• Assist in waste generation assessments and preliminary sizing of facilities such as MRFs, composting plants, transfer stations and landfills.
• Contribute to feasibility and techno‑economic assessments, including benchmarking and cost inputs.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, calculations and presentation materials.
• Develop design drawings from a waste‑flow and operational perspective.
• Support regulatory compliance reviews and alignment with best practice.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops and coordination sessions.
• Assist with project scheduling, task tracking and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, capability statements and marketing material.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Waste Management, Environmental Engineering/Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in waste management consultancy or a closely related environmental field.
• Knowledge of recycling systems, waste treatment processes and disposal methods.
• Familiarity with sustainability and circular‑economy frameworks (e.g., LEED, Estidama, Mostadam).
• Experience preparing technical reports and working on consultancy projects.
