Category Buyer, Indirect

About the role

We are looking for a Category Buyer – Indirect to support our global sustainable packaging business. The role will manage the purchase of goods and materials needed for production, ensuring timely delivery while upholding our commitment to food safety and environmental stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase goods and materials according to the production plan and tight deadlines.
• Maintain and develop a supplier/vendor list, issuing solicitation documents in line with purchasing policies.
• Collaborate with internal business units and external suppliers to ensure compliance and optimal terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
• Track purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
• Analyze spend data to identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Familiarity with purchasing policies and compliance procedures.
