Contracts Engineer

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will oversee the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle for construction, design and consultancy projects, ensuring smooth workflow from review to issuance. The role involves close coordination with bidders, internal teams and external partners to guarantee compliance with legal and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and follow‑up on contract workflow, tracking requests and deviations.
• Handle pre‑award activities, respond to bidders’ queries, and prepare tender clarifications.
• Assess tender offers, draft assessment reports, and negotiate contract terms.
• Draft, tailor, review and negotiate construction, design, and consultancy agreements.
• Prepare, execute and administer technical and corporate contracts, including commercial agreements with operators.
• Monitor contract signing processes and maintain comprehensive contract logs.
• Identify contractual risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with legal, governance and policy frameworks.
• Prepare periodic reports and support the improvement of standardized forms and procedures.
• Review claim settlements for adherence to contractual terms and corporate governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience in contract drafting and administration.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and the Egyptian Civil Code.
• Experience with contract formation, legal drafting, claims and dispute resolution.
• Strong business writing, presentation and negotiation abilities.
