DFT Consultant – ASIC Test Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Design‑for‑Test (DFT) Consultant to join our Siemens Digital Industries Software team in Cairo. You will support customers in implementing and verifying DFT features for complex ASIC designs using the Tessent tool suite.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a training program with senior consultants to develop DFT expertise.
• Deliver consulting services covering a broad range of DFT activities.
• Implement and deploy DFT flows for customers and enable adoption of the full Tessent software capabilities.
• Communicate how Siemens DISW products address customers’ technical objectives and influence product direction.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and collaborate with internal teams.
• Provide Tessent‑based solutions to meet technical and business needs.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites worldwide, primarily in Europe.

Required profile

• BSEE or BSCS (MSEE preferred) or equivalent engineering degree.
• Interest in applying engineering skills to solve unique customer challenges.
• Knowledge of ASIC design and DFT concepts such as scan, ATPG, embedded compression, MBIST, LBIST and boundary‑scan.
• Experience with Tessent DFT tools and the Tessent Shell environment.
• Familiarity with RTL‑level design.
• Shell‑scripting and Unix knowledge.
• Strong communication skills, self‑motivation and discipline.
