About the role
Save the Children International is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead HR functions for its Egypt Country Office. Reporting to the Country Director and working closely with the Regional HR Business Partner, the role is based on‑site with flexible working options and spans a 24‑month fixed‑term contract.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic HR leadership as a member of the Senior Management Team, shaping organisational culture and supporting programme delivery.
- Design and implement an organisational structure aligned with agency practices, funding levels and programme needs.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, succession planning, compensation, performance management and career development for all staff.
- Ensure compliance with Save the Children global standards, local labour laws and HR policies.
- Maintain active relationships with government authorities and external partners.
- Deliver rapid HR support during humanitarian responses in coordination with global teams.
Required profile
- Proven senior HR leadership experience in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian labour legislation and international HR standards.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Right to work in Egypt for the contract duration.
