Funded 6‑month traineeship in Political, Press & Information (PPI)

About the role

We are offering a funded six‑month traineeship in 2026 within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to Egypt. The placement starts tentatively in October 2026 and provides an opportunity to learn about diplomatic work and EU representation in Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on political and press‑related topics.
• Support day‑to‑day activities of the PPI Section, including meeting preparation and logistical tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of press releases, public‑diplomacy events and media materials.
• Update the Delegation’s website and social‑media platforms.
• Draft press statements and reports on media coverage of the EU.
• Take minutes and provide administrative support during meetings.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Business, Economics, Social Sciences, Law, Political Science or related fields.
• Strong interest in Egyptian politics and ability to handle sensitive issues responsibly.
• Excellent analytical and drafting abilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (Egyptian dialect).
• Less than one year of professional experience after graduation.
• Residency in the Arab Republic of Egypt at the time of application.

• Basic website and social‑media content management.
