Gas Turbine Electrician – 1‑Month Project in UAE

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to lead the electrical and instrumentation scope of a major Gas Turbine (GT‑82) and Generator overhaul in the United Arab Emirates. The assignment runs for one month, from 5 October to 5 November, and involves full disassembly, troubleshooting, and re‑installation of critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Systematically disconnect, label, and remove GT and Generator electrical and instrument cabling.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and remount all turbine sensors, including thermocouples, vibration/acceleration devices, and fiber‑optic detection systems.
• Extract and re‑route complex cabling while preserving shielding and EMI protection.
• Provide hands‑on support during calibration and loop‑check phases to meet OEM specifications.
• Assist the mechanical team with all electrical and instrumentation needs throughout the disassembly/reassembly sequence.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in heavy‑industrial environments such as power plants, oil & gas, or petrochemical facilities.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex electrical wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and P&IDs.
• Extensive experience with industrial cable termination, conduit systems, and rotating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, Permit‑to‑Work procedures, and confined‑space safety standards.
