General Accountant

About the role

Alfanar Projects is looking for a detail‑oriented General Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will manage vendor payments, sales invoicing, lender repayments, bank reconciliations and ensure full compliance with VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process and monitor vendor payments, reconcile vendor accounts and manage payment transfers.
• Issue sales invoices, record sales transactions and follow up on receivables.
• Handle loan repayments and disbursements, track interest schedules and ensure compliance with loan agreements.
• Calculate interest on loans, record interest income/expense and prepare related schedules.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage Letters of Credit (LC) and Letters of Guarantee (LG), calculate related costs and maintain documentation.
• Ensure VAT compliance, calculate and file VAT returns, and submit VAT claims.
• Coordinate with external auditors, providing required documentation and supporting audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.
• Experience in vendor cycle, sales invoicing, loan management and VAT filing.
• Good understanding of LC/LG processes and audit coordination.
