General Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Movenpick Resort El Quseir is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead its luxury resort operations in El Quseir, Egypt. This senior position oversees all aspects of the property, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving profitability and upholding the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house departments, ensuring seamless coordination and service excellence.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to meet revenue targets and improve market positioning.
• Lead, mentor and motivate department heads and staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage the resort’s budget, financial performance and P&L statements, balancing cost efficiency with service quality.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction by setting service standards, handling concerns and implementing feedback mechanisms.
• Build strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners and the local community.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards and company policies.
• Identify market opportunities, drive occupancy growth and oversee marketing initiatives.
• Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs for staff development.
• Handle crisis situations with effective problem‑solving strategies.

Required profile

• Fluency in German (written and spoken) – critical requirement.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) – essential.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in luxury hotel or resort operations.
• Proven track record of managing P&L, budgets and achieving financial targets.
