Homeroom Teacher – Foundation Stage (UK Curriculum)

About the role

Sahara New Capital International School is seeking a dedicated Homeroom Teacher for the Foundation Stage. Based on the UK National Curriculum Framework, the role involves creating a nurturing, inquiry‑based environment for young learners in Cairo’s New Administrative Capital.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons that develop early literacy, numeracy and critical thinking.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom and supervise students during daily routines, school activities and events.
• Monitor, assess and record student progress, providing timely feedback to families.
• Collaborate with specialist teachers and contribute to the school’s holistic development programmes.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and uphold safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in early childhood education and familiarity with the UK National Curriculum or similar international curricula.
• Proven teaching experience with Foundation Stage or early years students in an international or bilingual setting.
• Excellent communication skills, culturally sensitive and able to engage with students, families and colleagues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Commitment to student safeguarding, inclusivity and continuous professional learning.
