Interview Engineer – Remote Contract (Egypt)

About the role

Karat is building a global community of Interview Engineers who help companies assess software talent. As a remote contractor based in Egypt, you will facilitate technical interviews, evaluate candidate performance, and collaborate with Karat to improve interview content and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct live technical interviews on Karat’s platform, ensuring a smooth and inclusive candidate experience.
• Assess candidates on coding ability, problem‑solving approach, communication, and overall technical knowledge.
• Provide detailed feedback and performance summaries to hiring teams.
• Partner with Karat product and content teams to test and refine interview materials and workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer or engineer.
• Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication skills.
• Reliable webcam, microphone, and stable high‑speed internet connection.
• Prior experience conducting technical interviews (data structures, algorithms) is a plus.
