Junior SOC Engineer – Entry Level Security Operations

About the role

Orange Business is looking for a Junior SOC Engineer (L1.5) to join its global Security Operations Center. You will be the first technical layer in security incident handling, working closely with analysts, incident managers and technical experts to ensure fast, effective response to alerts and incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and validate alerts using SIEM platforms.
• Perform initial technical analysis, collect evidence and enrich tickets with clear findings.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate resolver teams following defined runbooks.
• Support incident communication and maintain SLA performance.
• Contribute to service improvement and operational discipline.

Required profile

• Motivated to build a career in cybersecurity operations.
• Analytical, structured and able to work calmly under pressure.
• Good communication skills and strong sense of ownership.
• Basic understanding of networking, security concepts and incident management.

Required skills

• Familiarity with SIEM platforms.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of EDR tools, firewalls and monitoring platforms.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Windows/Linux basics.
• Awareness of common cybersecurity threats.
