Production Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to lead our manufacturing lines at our Obour City facility. The role focuses on meeting production targets while upholding quality, safety and efficiency standards in the glass processing industry.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve 100% of the production plan for each line while adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Monitor performance indicators for each production stage.
• Allocate daily manpower across functions and resolve attendance issues.
• Review production reports, conduct productivity, downtime and efficiency analyses.
• Direct line production processes and prepare schedules.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to align maintenance schedules with production targets.
• Recommend preventive maintenance initiatives based on machinery performance.
• Implement changeover processes according to the production plan.
• Monitor waste rates, analyze scrap root causes and propose waste‑reduction measures.
• Perform periodic inventory checks to control material usage variances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (production focus).
• 2–3 years of experience as a Production Engineer.
• Lean Greenbelt knowledge.
• Experience with 5S methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
