Production Engineer – Shift Supervisor

About the role

Guardian Glass Egypt is looking for a Production Engineer who will act as Shift Supervisor. The role ensures safe, efficient and high‑quality plant operations during assigned rotating shifts while coordinating closely with supply‑chain and logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support and guide daily plant operations during assigned shifts to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate technicians and operational teams throughout shift activities.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, troubleshoot production issues and ensure process stability.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards, operational procedures and company policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture through employee involvement and hazard prevention.
• Track product quality, support corrective actions and maintain production standards.
• Coordinate material flow with supply‑chain and logistics to ensure operational continuity.
• Assist with production planning, operational reporting, shift handovers and KPI tracking.
• Foster communication and collaboration across production, maintenance, quality and supply‑chain functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead technicians, operators or shift teams in a plant setting.
• Good understanding of safety, quality and production processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Proficient command of English.
