Remote Ruby Engineer – AI Data Training

About the role

As a fully remote, hourly‑paid Ruby Engineer you will work with SME Careers to improve AI models by reviewing and generating Ruby and Rails code, evaluating reasoning quality, and providing clear, pedagogical feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Ruby/Rails code, assess readability, maintainability, and correctness.
• Generate original Ruby solutions and detailed prompts to guide AI learning.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on logical accuracy and reasoning.
• Identify and correct errors in MVC structure, domain modeling, and control flow.
• Fact‑check information and write high‑quality explanations that demonstrate idiomatic Ruby patterns.
• Test AI models for potential biases or inaccuracies to ensure reliability.

Required profile

• 1–2+ years of professional Ruby development experience in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, MVC architecture, and idiomatic Ruby coding.
• Experience using LLMs or AI coding assistants and validating their output.
• Excellent written English (C1 level) with the ability to produce clear technical explanations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
