Reservations Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Reservations Officer to join our team at Palma Bay Rotana Resort, a 4‑star, alcohol‑free resort on the Egyptian Mediterranean coast. The role involves managing individual and group bookings, handling guest inquiries, and supporting revenue optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Process phone, email and online reservation requests for individuals and groups.
• Verify room availability, update the reservation system and issue confirmations.
• Prepare daily reservation reports and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Sales and Revenue teams to optimise occupancy and rate strategies.
• Communicate clearly with guests and internal stakeholders regarding bookings, special requests and changes.
• Identify and promote upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with resort policies and service standards.

Required profile

• Strong reservations and airline ticketing experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Sales orientation with ability to recognise upselling opportunities.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage time effectively.
• Previous experience in hotels, resorts or travel‑related reservations preferred.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business or a related field is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
