Senior Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team at ELVAN Knitting, Dyeing and Finishing in Bourj Alarab, Alexandria. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end closing, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and post journal entries.
• Prepare and reconcile bank, cash, customer and supplier accounts.
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and closing activities.
• Review invoices and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Monitor expenses and ensure proper account classification.
• Support tax, payroll and other financial requirements.
• Perform periodic account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting major) or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong data analysis ability and experience preparing financial statements.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• ERP systems (experience preferred).
• Microsoft Office Suite (MOS) proficiency.
