Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant will lead day‑to‑day AP operations, ensuring accurate and timely payments to contractors, drivers, vendors and other third parties. You will also support cash‑management activities and drive continuous improvements across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review invoices, payment requests and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Ensure timely payments to contractors, drivers, vendors and resolve any discrepancies.
• Review proforma invoices linked to job orders before processing.
• Reconcile supplier statements and monitor AP balances.
• Support daily cash‑management tasks and coordinate with Treasury on payment scheduling.
• Prepare cash forecasts and assist with payment planning.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, VAT, withholding tax and accounting standards.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Generate AP reports, aging analyses and payment status updates.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable or finance.
• Strong experience processing vendor, contractor and operational payments.
• Good knowledge of VAT, withholding tax and accounting principles.
• Experience in logistics, transportation or technology‑driven businesses is a plus.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP (Accounts Payable module).
