Solutions Integration Engineer – Linux Systems & Cloud

About the role

The Solutions Integration Engineer will manage, maintain, and enhance the high‑performance computing (HPC) environment at SLB's Houston Hub Data Center and its associated cloud platforms. You will provide system, software, and operational support primarily on Linux‑based platforms, ensuring continuous availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain availability of all HPC systems, meeting performance and configuration standards.
• Perform hardware, virtual‑machine, OS, and software maintenance and upgrades.
• Test supported systems and execute basic engineering tasks as required.
• Follow Change Management procedures and communicate all changes.
• Open vendor service tickets, manage warranty replacements, and handle equipment procurement.
• Resolve tickets within defined deadlines and document solutions.
• Adhere to QHSE procedures and participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science.
• At least three years of hands‑on Linux system administration in cloud or on‑prem environments.
• Experience with server hardware, disk arrays, tape libraries, robotic tape systems and GPUs.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, InfiniBand, and Fibre Channel SAN networking.
• Familiarity with Lustre storage systems and data‑management software.
• Industry‑recognized certifications such as Cisco, RHCSA or RHCE.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
