System Administrator – IT Infrastructure

About the role

The System Administrator will ensure continuous maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of corporate computer systems, high‑availability email networks, and central servers across the Sukari gold‑mine operation. Working within the IT Department, you will balance daily operational tasks with strategic infrastructure projects supporting digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer servers and desktops, manage user/group parameters, security permissions, group policies, print services and resource monitoring.
• Own the full lifecycle of Microsoft Active Directory, creating, modifying and deleting user accounts and email profiles.
• Maintain network services including DNS, DHCP, PowerShell scripting, LAN/WAN principles and Microsoft IIS.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper‑V) and hypervisor environments.
• Operate Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 high‑availability clusters and administer SQL Server (2012‑2019) databases.
• Oversee SharePoint platform, including design, Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, SharePoint Designer and InfoPath forms.
• Lead backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery planning, ensuring data integrity and off‑site media handling.
• Handle hardware and vendor management for Cisco UCS, HPE blade servers and SAN storage networks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Windows server administration and Active Directory management.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Hands‑on experience with Exchange Server, SQL Server and SharePoint ecosystems.
• Ability to design and implement backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capacity to work in a remote mining environment.
