Team Leader – Technical Office Engineer (Civil & Architecture)

About the role

Makeplace Developments is seeking an experienced Team Leader Technical Office Engineer to oversee architectural and civil design documentation for projects in New Cairo. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with codes, and manage the flow of technical information from design to construction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and adjust shop drawings for architectural activities and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts.
• Distribute approved shop drawings to all stakeholders and support document control processes.
• Conduct quantity surveying, compile Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for project materials.
• Prepare material submittals for consultant approval.
• Analyze building codes, bylaws, space and site requirements, and assess their impact on civil and architectural designs.
• Produce as‑built drawings at project completion and hand them over to the consultant.
• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure full understanding of contract terms.
• Monitor subcontractor progress through regular reports and issue RFIs for any unclear or conflicting technical matters.
• Review subcontractor invoices against executed work and process payment orders.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in technical office engineering, preferably in civil or architectural projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
