Academic Assistant for Physical Science

About the role
Academic Assistants support college‑level physical science courses delivered through Moodle or publisher platforms, ensuring timely feedback and a high‑quality learning experience for students.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to student inquiries via email.
- Grade assignments using established rubrics.
- Rate and monitor discussion forum contributions.
- Send weekly reminders and announcements to the class.
- Collaborate with faculty and supervisors to meet course needs.
Required profile
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Physical Science.
- Completion of required LSUA training (FERPA, Sexual Harassment, Cybersecurity, Moodle).
- Ability to work throughout the duration of the course.
Required skills
- Moodle (online learning platform).
