Accounting Manager

About the role

Raya Customer Experience, a subsidiary of Raya, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the month‑end close, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the finance function across multiple projects in Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the month‑end close process, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop, enforce, and continuously improve accounting policies and procedures.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
• Manage annual and quarterly external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed.
• Oversee internal audit requirements for the accounting area.
• Handle taxation matters and liaise with tax consultants for inspections.
• Supervise project‑specific month‑end reporting and ensure smooth report preparation.
• Oversee all payment transactions, including ACH, wires, and paper checks.
• Manage data entry, validation, and processing of various invoices (overhead, subcontractor, travel reimbursements).
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting functions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or managerial role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Egyptian accounting standards.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with ERP Accounts Payable systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong skills in Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS and Egyptian accounting standards.
