Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the month‑end close process, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the finance team in delivering accurate financial information. This senior position reports to the Finance Director and works closely with the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the month‑end close, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop, enforce, and continuously improve accounting policies and procedures.
• Respond to internal inquiries on financial results and special reporting requests.
• Manage annual and quarterly external audits and coordinate with auditors as needed.
• Oversee internal audit requirements for the accounting function.
• Handle taxation matters and liaise with tax consultants for inspections.
• Supervise project‑specific month‑end reporting and ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee all payment transactions, including ACH, wires, and paper checks.
• Manage data entry, validation, and processing of various invoice types (overhead, subcontractor, travel reimbursements).
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, and project accounting functions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Egyptian accounting standards.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Forward‑thinking mindset with strong business acumen and customer‑centric approach.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with ERP Accounts Payable systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
