Accounts Payable Officer – Logistics Operations

About the role

The Accounts Payable Officer will manage all supplier and logistics‑related payments, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time. This position works closely with procurement, logistics, warehouse and finance teams to support smooth supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, code and record freight, customs, transportation and warehousing invoices in the ERP system.
• Prepare payment schedules, process supplier payments and obtain required approvals.
• Perform vendor reconciliations, monitor outstanding balances and produce aging reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accrual tracking.
• Identify duplicate payments, irregularities and control weaknesses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local tax regulations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve ERP workflows and automate processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide regular payment status and cost reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within logistics, freight forwarding or supply‑chain environments.
• Familiarity with Egypt‑based tax and accounting regulations is a plus.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); additional languages are advantageous.
