Application Support and Cloud Ops Engineer

About the role

The Managed Application Cloud Expertise (MAC) team within Orange Business seeks an Application Support and Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure the availability and performance of mission‑critical applications. You will work on a 24x7 on‑call basis, providing second‑level support, system administration, and cloud‑focused DevOps activities for internal users and hosted services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and guarantee application availability to meet SLA targets.
• Diagnose, route, and resolve incoming trouble tickets in real time.
• Perform system administration on Windows and Linux servers, including change execution and task orders.
• Provide L2 technical support and escalation for both infrastructure and cloud‑based applications.
• Communicate planned and unplanned outages to end users.
• Participate in UAT testing for bug fixes and new features.
• Collaborate with development teams to define QoS metrics and support DevOps processes.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Database administration (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Web services knowledge (SOAP, REST).
• Programming/scripting experience (Python, Java, ASP.NET, Node.js, C#, PHP, React.js).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure support and DevOps practices.
