Applications Management Senior Specialist

About the role

The Applications Management Senior Specialist will lead the design, development, and maintenance of both locally built and centrally sourced applications. You will act as a bridge between business units and IT, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, test, and debug new applications and automation scripts.
• Design and optimise relational databases for performance.
• Manage software roll‑outs and coordinate with central teams.
• Maintain integration layers between local and central systems.
• Provide first‑line Service Desk support, incident handling and user authorization administration.
• Apply secure coding practices, manage authentication/authorization, and resolve security findings.
• Document high‑level designs, operational procedures and technical documentation for end users.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and propose enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive experience developing with .NET and MS SQL Server.
• Strong background in relational database design and optimisation.
• Familiarity with agile project management and cross‑functional team collaboration.
• Experience supporting end‑users and handling Service Desk tickets.
• Knowledge of secure coding guidelines and security architecture.
