Architecture Design Engineer – Working Drawings

About the role

Sabbour Consulting is seeking an Architecture Design Engineer specialized in working drawings to join its multidisciplinary team. You will translate approved concepts and schematic designs into precise construction documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural working drawings, sections, details, and schedules for construction.
• Convert concept and schematic designs into accurate construction drawings.
• Develop architectural details for finishes, joinery, doors, windows, and interface elements.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, and civil disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Review coordinated drawings, resolve technical conflicts, and support BIM or CAD coordination processes.
• Apply quality‑control procedures, update drawings based on revisions and site feedback, and maintain organized records.
• Respond to technical queries, assist in reviewing shop drawings and material submittals, and ensure compliance with local and international standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 2–6 years of experience preparing architectural working drawings, preferably on residential, commercial, or mixed‑use projects.
• Experience in consultancy or construction environments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing and construction methods.
• High attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and good command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit (BIM experience is an advantage).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural specifications and codes.
