Assistant Manager Cyber & Cloud Security

About the role

Afreximbank is looking for an Assistant Manager Cyber & Cloud Security in Cairo. The role supports the Bank's mission of expanding and diversifying African trade by protecting customer, employee and business information and helping implement the Bank's Management Information System. It aims to maintain a consistent standard of cyber and cloud security across the Bank's infrastructure and to support cloud services delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Help the Bank achieve its cyber and cloud security objectives through policies and procedures, and keep security standards consistent across the infrastructure.
• Design, protect and manage security services for the global information security infrastructure, and continuously assess the cloud security architecture.
• Tune cloud security solutions (enrollments, monitoring, alerting) and implement, develop and integrate open-source security solutions.
• Take part in proof of concepts and technical evaluations, and stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies.
• Reduce time-to-detect and time-to-remediate by automating threat intelligence and sensor enrichment, and expand the API framework connecting security tools.
• Document implementations with technical documentation and runbooks, and contribute to security policies for cloud and on-premise environments.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on cyber security controls, advise other IT and business teams, and automate security controls and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or another relevant field, or a Master's degree or recognised professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience securing cloud solutions (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and 5 years in other cybersecurity areas such as network and infrastructure security, identity management, threat detection, vulnerability management and security governance, risk and compliance.
• Team-oriented, with excellent English communication skills, willingness to travel and to work long hours when needed.

Required skills

• Linux, Windows and cloud ecosystems such as Amazon AWS and Azure.
• High-level programming in C++, C#, Java, Python or Visual Basic; microservices (AWS Lambda, Docker).
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, etc.), VPC and security frameworks such as CIS benchmarks and NIST.
• Tools such as Burp Suite, Qualys, Nessus and GFI LightGuard.
