Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance (Co-Man)

About the role

Nestlé Egypt 6th of October Factory is looking for an Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance "Co-Man" based in Cairo, Egypt. The role ensures compliance with Nestlé's quality and food safety management systems for its contract manufacturing product portfolio. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Train people and promote a quality mindset at Co-Man sites, and help develop the team's competence on quality topics.
• Plan and run regular quality and food safety audits of contract manufacturing sites according to the Nestlé Food Safety Management System.
• Support HACCP study development, HACCP validation and the food defence plan.
• Develop the quality management system for Nestlé products and ensure proper quality controls at Co-Man sites.
• Coordinate product release and regular compliance monitoring, including raw material and packaging material compliance.
• Set up pathogen, chemical contaminant surveillance, allergen, GMO and Halal compliance, and traceability and mock recall systems.
• Ensure laboratory compliance, sensory evaluation, foreign body prevention and deployment of category-specific standards.
• Manage product non-conformities and complaints, monitor regulatory compliance, and coordinate quality input for make-or-buy decisions.

Required profile

• University graduate, preferably in food science, agriculture or food technology.
• Demonstrated competence in the field, such as working in a factory quality team, production support, application group, market, R&D, centre or NQAC.
• Experience implementing quality assurance programmes, including project teams, change efforts, audit and improvement projects, and building peer networks.
