Audit & Assurance Manager – Financial Services (Cairo)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to lead engagements for financial sector clients in Cairo. You will work within Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice, delivering high‑quality audits, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving value for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with multiple stakeholders while providing constructive challenge on audit issues.
• Review transaction flow documentation and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle to assess the planned audit approach.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, applying professional skepticism and considering fraud risks.
• Identify opportunities to add value by leveraging expertise across the firm and integrating specialists into the audit team.
• Participate in group risk‑assessment scoping and prepare clear referral instructions for component auditors.
• Conduct regular file checks, ensure all audit points are cleared, and select appropriate file structures for each engagement.
• Engage early with scheduling, communicate responsibilities and deadlines to the extended engagement team.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing audit engagements for financial institutions.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to assess control environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop audit teams.
• Professional skepticism and understanding of fraud risk considerations.
