Business Development Engineer – Construction (Alexandria Residents)

About the role

The Business Development Engineer will drive growth for BuildIn’s construction and architectural services across Alexandria. You will identify new opportunities, build strong relationships with contractors, architects and developers, and translate market insights into winning proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the assigned geographic area.
• Establish and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, including contractors, architects and developers.
• Conduct market research to analyse trends, competitor activities and client needs.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and tailored proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering, design and project‑management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms in line with company policies.
• Track sales activities, pipeline development and progress toward targets using CRM tools.
• Attend industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to promote the brand.
• Provide feedback on market trends and potential service expansion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of proven experience in sales, business development or technical engineering within construction or architecture.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, architectural design and structural strengthening solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and travel within the assigned area.
• Own a private car (mandatory).

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
