About the role
We are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth of our inland freight services portfolio. You will work closely with senior clients and internal teams to deliver tailored transportation solutions and expand our market presence.
Key responsibilities
- Strategically promote and sell a full range of inland freight services, including light and heavy trucking and transportation platforms.
- Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and lead consultative sales discussions with senior decision‑makers.
- Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor within the freight industry.
- Identify high‑value business opportunities using market insights and competitive intelligence.
- Lead negotiations for large‑scale contracts, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients and the company.
- Oversee the sales pipeline, set strategies to meet or exceed targets, and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to business‑strategy development by sharing market trends and competitor activity.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Transportation or a related field (advanced degrees a plus).
- Minimum 1 year of proven business development or sales experience in inland freight, transportation or logistics.
- Strong understanding of cross‑product inland freight services and supply‑chain solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities with a track record of closing complex deals.
- Demonstrated capability to manage high‑value sales pipelines.
- Must own a car and hold a valid driver’s licence.
