Buyer – Indirect Materials

About the role

We are seeking a Buyer – Indirect Materials to lead the procurement of indirect goods and services that support our manufacturing operations. The role involves analyzing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost‑effective sourcing while aligning with our strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate current and potential suppliers against internal quality and cost criteria.
• Monitor market trends, price developments and adapt purchasing concepts accordingly.
• Negotiate and close framework contracts for indirect material categories.
• Develop and implement procurement plans based on market timing and demand forecasts.
• Handle supplier complaints and ensure resolution.
• Support the material group strategy and contribute to continuous process standardisation.
• Participate in digital transformation projects, optimise business processes and maintain data in internal IT systems.
• Adhere to approved budgets and report variances in coordination with management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect materials procurement.
• Background in a manufacturing environment.
• Very good command of English.
