CAD Engineer – Railway Projects

About the role

Siemens Mobility Egypt is seeking a CAD Engineer to support the design and documentation of one of Egypt’s first high‑speed rail systems. You will work within an international team, delivering layout and drawing packages that meet project contracts and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate and finalize CAD layouts and drawings according to project requirements.
• Develop system layouts and drawings in close cooperation with all subsystems.
• Produce site plans, layouts and sections for railway transportation systems and related installations.
• Identify, document and manage project documents using CDE platforms such as Aconex or LMS.
• Create equipment plans and cable‑route drawings after coordination with relevant subsystems.
• Resolve clashes between subsystems to ensure workable outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural, civil or electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in railway systems or related civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of drawing assessment for building construction and civil engineering.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Civil3D, MS Visio).
• Proficiency with 3D design and coordination software (Revit, Navisworks).
• Familiarity with project management principles for project realization and execution.
