Cloud Solutions Pre-sales Consultant (Azure)

About the role

The Cloud Solutions Pre‑sales Consultant/Engineer will partner with sales, technical teams and customers to design and position cloud‑based solutions that meet business needs. This role blends strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure with business acumen to support the sales cycle from discovery through deal closure.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers to capture business and technical requirements.
• Design end‑to‑end cloud solutions primarily on Microsoft Azure and related technologies.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos and workshops.
• Support RFP/RFI responses and create solution proposals.
• Collaborate with sales to define winning strategies and value propositions.
• Provide effort estimates, architecture diagrams and bill of materials.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the pre‑sales cycle.
• Stay current with Microsoft cloud services, including Azure, Microsoft 365 and security offerings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in pre‑sales, solution architecture or cloud engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture patterns.
• Experience designing scalable, secure and high‑availability solutions.
• Familiarity with networking, security and identity (e.g., Azure AD).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
